# Running jobs

Jobs can be issued from the UI to a running cluster. Click on the Jobs link on the left navigation bar and click Add to create a new job.

At the first step, select the target cluster. All jobs must target a cluster whose status is "Ready for jobs".

At the second step, select the type of job to run.

Depending on the job, you may need to provide additional inputs. Read more about specific job types:

* [Alluxio free cache](https://documentation.alluxio.io/rad/get-started/running-jobs/alluxio-free-cache)
* [Fio benchmark](https://documentation.alluxio.io/rad/get-started/running-jobs/fio-benchmark)

Review the details of the job at the final step and click Run to start the job.

More details from the job may return after the job completes.

* If the job produces any output, the output text will be shown
* If the job failed due to an error, an error message will be shown.
